Data conveyed as a graph can be either an image or an interactive part of a webpage.

For both of these, achieving accessibility means paying attention to:

  • the visual presentation, to ensure that users with vision impairment can understand the information presented

  • alternative presentation of the data, to ensure that users with other disabilities have other ways to access the information – this may be through alt text or by including the data table used to construct the graph.
